At Children's, we understand that the caliber of medical expertise we offer is often unparalleled, and so, families from around the world seek care for their children here. However, in the past, families often found it difficult to navigate the complex logistics involved in international travel to bring their child to us for care. The International Program was developed to assist families with every detail -- from travel arrangements & necessary documentation to culturally sensitive accommodations during your time in the hospital.
Because the hospital is located in the heart of the nation's capital, we have the unique advantage of resources in our city that welcome international travelers. The International Program at Children's uses those resources, we contact embassies, identify translators, and coordinate all medical appointments -- all in an effort to simplify your stay. A representative from the International Program serves as your personal liaison, arranging transportation from the airport and accommodations during your stay. And we continue our support of your family after you return home, ensuring consistent, comprehensive care for your child.
We are proud to have assisted children from over 30 countries with the International Program. For more information about our International Program call 202-884-3836 or e-mail oelbaba@cnmc.org.
